Chapter 10: The End

I noticed this strange feelingI had after the summer. My summer 2022 was an unforgettable one…but the moment work started, I felt this crazy dip. I’m not sure but sometimes I think it has something to do with COVID being over. The moment COVID started, people including myself went into survival mode. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the ‘slow times’, but It was quite a huge adjustment with no time to easily and slowly adjust.  On the other hand, it was also my new work opportunity which really made my feeling even worse. I was promised ‘A’ but was really doing ‘C’. And it was not something out of my comfort zone, the job was really something someone from high school would do as a ‘side job’. I was literally ‘copy-pasting’ text into a word document and sending it out to clients. I swear…….Can you believe it? Don’t get me wrong, in any career there will be moments where you need to do something you don’t like doing…but that is temporary..This was ‘until further notice’. I was scared..go...

Chapter 9: The Highs and the Lows

  Not sure if it was the best idea to keep the recording on, but it gave us the confirmation that something was not right. So now, finally back from the festival and all a bit drunk, we gathered in the kitchen and everyone agreed to watch the recording at the same time..Nervous, not knowing what to expect, we pressed the play button. I then stopped the recording and asked one last time: Are we sure we want to see this? What you don’t know won’t hurt you, right? We then agreed to just watch it…  A couple of minutes in….no movement on the screen .... A couple of more minutes went by and then we got confronted by reality..  The Airbnb owner.. entered the house via the room we were not allowed to go into…and the messed up part was that he was in his sleeping clothes which really gave us the confirmation that he was sleeping there the whole time. Chapter 8: The beginning of a new Era

  Back in the Netherlands and back to reality. An experience richer, which no one can ever take away from me. Extremely blessed that I was given the opportunity to see lots of different countries and experience new cultures. It was so important for me to really step out of my daily comfort zone and be able to reflect on things in life.  I’ve met people all over the world and everyone with their own story trying to figure things out. Some are escaping their lives back home due to family issues, others looking for a better life somewhere else and others working hard to provide for their families back home.  It made me realize how blessed I actually am and that I take a lot for granted actually. But this experience made me realize that it’s really time to make the most of life, cherish all the moments and to be really grateful for the life I’m living. With this mindset, It was time for the next adventure in life. Eyes on the price, meaning eyes on a new goal! What is next? A...
